The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) will present on the latest updates on the Comprehensive Modernization (Comp Mod) Renovations at Gowanus Houses and Wyckoff Garden, and will share how the agency and its team is addressing concerns about the process raised by residents, the Council Member, and GOTF.
The Gowanus Oversight Task Force works proactively and collaboratively with New York City agencies to advance timely and equitable implementation of the commitments detailed in the 56 Points of Agreement (POA), as well as community goals outlined in the Gowanus Neighborhood Plan.
Formed as part of Commitment 1, the Task Force is a volunteer, community-based group that provides an online repository of information tracking each commitment’s status and holds quarterly public meetings to promote accountability, transparency, and continued engagement with the Gowanus community.
The Task Force hosts quarterly public meetings so the public can hear directly from New York City agencies on the status of the City’s commitments. These meetings also provide attendees with the opportunity to submit questions about the POA and exchange information about advancements in Gowanus.
