The Gowanus Oversight Task Force is a diverse and representative group of community volunteer stakeholders that help advance a more just, inclusive and resilient Gowanus. The Task Force is supported by James Lima Planning + Development and the office of Council Member Shahana Hanif (District 39).

Task Force Membership + Committees
The Task Force has a total of six committees that meet on a regular basis. They include: Housing, Sustainability + Resiliency, Open Space + Waterfront Access, Economic + Workforce Development, Public Infrastructure, and Communications. Committees engage directly with City agency partners and are supported by local elected officials to help advance the City’s commitments.
